GROUP CHARTERS 4WD DAY TOUR TO LAKE McKENZIE TOUR DESCRIPTION/ITINERARY
Multi award winning Fraser Island Adventure Tours collects guests early morning from their accommodation on the Sunshine Coast departing Noosa at 7am.
During their journey to Fraser Island they travel in air conditioned, high profile, well equipped 4WD vehicles - 6 buses in fleet, 16 passengers in each.
The day includes a 'coloured sands' tour - Teewah Coloured Sands, Red Canyon, Double Island Point, Rainbow Beach Morning Tea stop.
At Inskip Point, just north of Rainbow Beach, we cross by vehicle ferry to Hook Point on Fraser Island. Beach travel to Eurong settlement and then inland to Lake McKenzie.
This lake is renowned as the 'Jewel in the Crown' - we spend about an hour and half to 2 hours here - swimming and a sumptuous BBQ lunch consisting of rib fillet steak, white fillet of fish wrapped in alfoil or a vegetarian burger served with a sausage and a smorgasbord of fresh salads and fruits, complimentary drinks. After lunch, we drive through Pile Valley to Central Station for a beautiful rainforest walk.
Further stops of interest admiring bird, plant and wildlife - dingoes, snakes, goannas, sea eagles. Afternoon tea is served on the way home.
Return to Noosa approximately 5.30pm and later for Mooloolaba and Caloundra. Tours can be designed to suit groups (max. of 96 passengers).
We have permits to visit other pristine areas on Fraser Island i.e. Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck. Prices on application.
